Scott C. Litin, M.D., is a general internist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He is the editor-in-chief of the third, fourth, and fifth editions of the Mayo Clinic Family Health Book, and also served as the editor of the Mayo Clinic A to Z Health Guide. Dr. Litin has been honored with numerous awards from Mayo Clinic, including the Outstanding Faculty Member award, the Distinguished Educator award, and the Distinguished Clinician award, which is known as Mayo Clinicâs highest honor for clinicians. In 2001, he was recognized with a Mastership in the College from the American College of Physicians, which selects its recipients based on their outstanding contributions to the development of internal medicine.
